Abstract
This paper examines the challenges faced by young people in adapting to modern life, their insufficient level of environmental and economic literacy and competence, and the need for active and targeted educational outreach. It considers the environmental and economic culture of society as a systemic characteristic inherent in different social groups, reflecting key economic phenomena, social relations, and their development. As a social phenomenon, environmental and economic culture represents not only the synthesis of the historical and contemporary experience of generations but also the future needs and goals of societal development. The study emphasizes the importance of environmental and economic education in shaping schoolchildren’s knowledge, values, and responsible behavior.
