Abstract

This paper examines fractional integro-differential equations as an effective tool for mathematical modeling of processes with memory and nonlocal properties, typical of intelligent systems. The main approaches to defining fractional derivatives are presented, and the specifics of problem formulation and solution methods are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the application of fractional models in machine learning, signal processing, and intelligent control. It is shown that the use of fractional calculus improves the adequacy of models and the robustness of algorithms.
